Intersaction supports Inmaco – Leading developer of sustainable paper and pulp packaging machinery

Intersaction and the management team of Inmaco have come to an agreement to join forces in
supporting the continuing fast growth of Inmaco. Inmaco is active in development and
manufacturing of equipment for the production of sustainable cardboard and molded fibre packaging
products. The company is best known for its high-quality cardboard lid machines, increasingly used
for consumer food packaging like savory and sweet snacks, ice cream and other dairy products.
Furthermore, Inmaco has taken a leading position as European producer of conventional and
thermoforming pulp molding machinery for consumer and industrial applications. Inmaco provides
both converters and brand owners with a comprehensive solution for paper and pulp packaging
challenges.

About Inmaco

Inmaco has over 40 years of experience with paper and molded fibre machinery design and
production. Their machines are used in the production of consumer food packaging (e.g., cardboard
ice-cream and butter tubs, cardboard snacks packaging and molded fibre packaging for take away
foods and vegetables at food retailers) and industrial applications (e.g., molded fibre protective
cushions for medicine, electronics and other consumer products replacing polystyrene). Since 2017 a
new management team led by Marthijn Broeils has accelerated growth and focused R&D initiatives
towards high potential technologies. Today, the company is a leader in paper and molded fibre
technology and supplies the majority of global packaging converters. Marthijn Broeils: “Together
with Intersaction we plan on reducing lead times by expanding production capacity and improving
customer service. We will also continue to invest significantly in R&D and consider further
acquisitions to expand its product offering.”

Intersaction shares the enthusiasm of Marthijn as Joost Becker, Partner at Intersaction states: “Both
the paperboard and pulp packaging markets are expected to grow significantly over the coming years
on the back of increasing consumer awareness of the environmental impact of plastic packaging and
legislative initiatives to reduce the use of plastics. With all major consumer brand owners aiming to
use 100% recyclable and/or bio-degradable packaging by 2030, a significant shift towards paper and
pulp packaging in consumer food products is taking place. Inmaco is well positioned to benefit from
this trend through its proprietary developed reliable and high-performing lines of machinery and its
proven track record at leading clients.”

Buyers were advised by DeBreij and Zuidbroek notarissen (Legal), Accuracy (Financial), Amstone
(Fiscal) and Rabobank (M&A). Debt financing was provided by Rabobank. Fortaleza Capital was sole
financial advisor to sellers, while financial vendor assistance was provided by TIC advisory and legal
support by Nysingh.
